Miele presents a revolutionary new cooking method with its exclusive dialog oven showcase at Expo 2020 Dubai
Miele, the German manufacturer of premium domestic appliances and partner of the cultural programme of the German Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is showcasing its exclusive Dialog oven in the UAE this October, opening up a whole new world of cooking, baking and roasting experiences.
Recent live cooking demonstrations by Miele’s in-house chef, Francesca Busso and special guest chef, Roberto Segura, offered Expo visitors innovative methods of cooking. For example, a piece of cod fish was cooked in a solid block of ice, without the ice melting; and the fish got ready and cooked to perfection.
Setting out to reinvent cooking, the Miele Dialog oven deploys state-of-the-art technology to prepare dishes, where electromagnetic waves respond to the texture of food in an intelligent manner and cooks’ food “volumetrically”. Meat, for example, is cooked in a uniform manner, remaining pink from the edges right through to the core, retaining its juices. In comparison, a conventional oven has heat traveling through from the outside to the inside resulting in an often overdone and dry dish.
Fish and vegetables cooked with the Miele Dialog oven keep their delicate structure; and dough rises significantly better. Various fresh ingredients for a complete meal can be placed together on an oven tray and primed to perfection at exactly the same time; and up to 70 per cent faster than through conventional cooking methods.
The Miele Dialog oven features a modular unit, which generates electromagnetic waves in a specific frequency range and distributes these in the oven via two high-performance sensors. As the molecules in food are structured in different ways and are even rearranged during cooking, the frequency is continuously adjusted to support the optimal cooking process. The same sensors also provide the Dialog oven with feedback on the amount of energy absorbed by the food.
As it rises to the challenges of cooking, the use of this innovative appliance is made simpler by automated programs, without stifling users’ own creativity. For greater individuality, there are two options open to users: The ‘Gourmet Pro’, intended for users with a certain amount of experience and those who like to experiment and the ‘Gourmet Assistant’ that supports chefs by suggesting settings dependent on the type and quantity of food to ensure excellent results.
The Miele Dialog oven also has a built-in Wi-Fi feature, which connects the appliance to a Miele App. Alongside recipe features, food preparation videos and shopping lists, the app also allows the parameters of a recipe to be transferred directly to the machine. This function puts users in direct contact with Miele’s laboratory kitchen, with desired recipes being available for instant download.
Miele will host its live cooking demonstrations of the Dialog oven at the German Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai from December 10 to 12, from 8-10pm, by chef Francesca and Roberto.
The official market launch of the Dialog oven will commence in the United Arab Emirates in the first quarter of 2022.
