The UAE’s first hand roll bar is set to expand to Abu Dhabi, with Kokoro confirmed to open on Saadiyat Island at a location yet to be revealed. The cult Japanese concept, which first gained popularity in Dubai, will continue its chef-led counter dining experience where guests watch hand rolls prepared to order. Opening is expected in 2026, date to be confirmed.
Isabel Mayfair Abu Dhabi
Isabel Mayfair, a fixture of London’s dining and bar scene for nearly a decade, makes its international debut in Abu Dhabi at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island. The restaurant is built around an ingredient-led, seasonal menu with Mediterranean influence, designed for all-day dining and late-night socialising, and adapted for the local palate. Led by French chef Vincent Visinet, the menu balances simplicity and precision, featuring dishes such as vegetable tartlets, heirloom tomato salad, Carabineros with kaffir lime, Beef Fillet Wellington, and desserts like Red Berry Pavlova and a pistachio madeleine.
Hanbok
Opening soon at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Hanbok brings a modern Korean dining experience. The space features layered fabrics, gentle lighting, and clean architectural lines that give it a distinct visual identity. With an open kitchen, a streamlined bar, and a dining room anchored by striking textile installations, Hanbok blends Korean tradition with a contemporary dining style.
