Authentic Mexican cuisine meets modern street style as La Carnita launches in Abu Dhabi
La Carnita, the Mexican street food restaurant, has found a new home in the Abu Dhabi. Diners are welcome at their new location in Yas Bay Waterfront on Yas Island, which features the same essence as sister restaurants in Dubai and Canada, exuding luxe vibes, good soundtracks and fabulous food.
Expect to be met with neon signage and street art, wood panelling and a mix of rattan style furniture. Designed by Canadian designer Ian Rydberg, Founder & Principal Designer of Solid Design Creative, many of the seating areas are arranged into booths decked out with red leather sofas that offer a semi- private dining feel. Alternatively, you can choose to dine al fresco, soaking in the picturesque views across the water and Yas Island.
From tacos and nachos to ceviche and churros across brunches, happy hours, ladies’ nights and a special menu for kids, La Carnita offers something for every palate.
The La Carnita Brunch is a Mexican fiesta that takes place every Saturday from 1-4pm. Picture sharing platters of spiced fries, dips and chips, Hamachi ceviche and Cali salad; followed by quesadillas or tacos; and churros for delightful sweet ending.
Ladies can sip on complimentary lime-infused concoctions every Thursday from 8-11pm at La Carnita Ladies’ Night, whilst immersing themselves in upbeat tunes from a DJ. When the hunger pangs strike, reach for bites from the à la carte menu.
One for the little ones, La Carnita Kids’ Menu offers dishes such as chips and guac, butter corn, French fries, quesadillas and crispy chicken. Sweet treats to end with include churros, ice cream or paletas (a Mexican frozen lolly in either key lime, or cookie monster flavour).
La Carnita Brunch on Saturday from 1-4pm at AED199 per person (inclusive of soft beverages), AED299 per person (inclusive of house beverages) and AED399 per person (inclusive of bubbly).
