Jumeirah Burj Al Arab will temporarily close for an 18-month restoration as part of a long-term plan to upgrade the property after more than 25 years of operation
The project will be led by French interior architect Tristan Auer, whose work focuses on updating spaces while preserving their original character. Interiors will be refreshed and upgraded, with an emphasis on maintaining the hotel’s design and identity.
Opened in 1999, the sail-shaped hotel has become one of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks. The restoration aims to modernise the property while keeping its core design intact, with a phased programme focused on preserving what has defined the hotel since launch.
