Gulfood 2021 is bringing together Chef Luciano Marques, Chef Rui Silvestre and Bistro des Arts’ Joao Garcia for a Portuguese themed three-chefs-dinner
The renowned chefs will unite for a one-night-only event, curating a delectable six-course menu complemented by exclusive grape pairings.
Chef Rui Silvestre, whose restaurant Vistas Rui Silvestre holds a Michelin star, will be serving mains for the evening, while Dubai-based Chef Luciano Marques will serve sharing plates and desserts, inspired by Portugal’s coastal and inland regions.
Both chefs will be supported by Bistro des Arts’ Head Chef, Joao Garcia who was born, raised and began his culinary journey in Portugal, inspired by his Mediterranean family and their love of fresh produce.
The gourmet dining experience commences with carrot à Algarvia, roasted chicken piri piri, crunchy bacalhau in escabeche & raspberry and bluefin tuna and caviar. Diners are then treated to starters from Chef Joao Garcia. These include stone soup consommé and a light octopus’ salad with peppers and onion compote.
For mains, expect delicacies of a roasted red mullet alongside squid ravioli, langoustine and harissa; or a juicy lamb loin with beetroot, black garlic and anchovies. A delightful dessert awaits, but we’ll keep that as a surprise for now.
