Merging the artistry and sophistication of Italian cuisine with an elegant and alluring atmosphere, Belcanto, which translates from Italian to mean ‘beautiful song’, offers an experience of a lifetime orchestrated by a talented restaurant team.
By completely covering the restaurant from Dubai Opera’s halls, the design by acclaimed Paul Bishop allows Belcanto to create a new world within Dubai Opera. Every corner holds new eye-catching details to discover and engage the senses, with quintessential European styling and aesthetics and bespoke elements that build on the restaurant’s unique dining and European flair. The interior speaks of pure elegance with monochromatic palettes including teases of wood, crushed emerald greens, blood red cordovan hues, heavy velvets, printed filigree fret-cut leathers and striking crystal chandeliers and dramatic pillars that reminds a time and place of a classic opera space.
An authentic Italian gastronomic journey escorts diners to a feeling of comfort and belonging. With an exceptional line-up of international talents heading up Belcanto’s culinary team, a superlative menu called Libretto, inspired by the text of musical works in an opera, will be presented to diners. Orchestrated by Brand Chef Giacomo Lombardi, the signature dishes from Prologue to Epilogue were meticulously built on classic stories refined with modernity. The authenticity of the cuisine heightens with the variety of pizzas created by world champion of the Neapolitan Pizza Chef Vincenzo Palermo. To end the dining experience on a sweet note, Executive Pastry Chef Anthony Falcone brings his expertise from a variety of Michelin-starred restaurants, creating diverse selection of world-class pastries including his signature crafts like Primavera alla fragola and Eclaire foresta nera. Elevating the culinary scene, Chef Sommelier Nicola Panelli with his team, takes diners to a world of grape and food pairing through an expertly curated menu.
Another highlight of the Belcanto experience is the bar, led by Mikhail Melnik, award-winning Head Bartender from The World’s 50 Best Bars for five consecutive years. Belcanto’s intriguing menu complements its cuisine with complex and elevated libations, including the signature Creole swizzle and Milk basil smash.
