Spiced hot choc

This light but creamy hot chocolate makes a comforting end to a cold winter evening

  • skimmed milk
  • 1-2 squares of very dark chocolate
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • a dribble of honey
  • a low-fat oaty biscuit (optional)


Banana butter toast
Roughly mash ½ banana, add 1 tbsp chopped walnuts and spread over a small slice of toasted rye bread. Add a drizzle of honey if you’ve got some.Choc-topped yogurt
Scatter 1 tbsp dark chocolate-coated raisins over a small pot low-fat natural or vanilla-flavoured yogurt.


  1. Fill a mug with skimmed milk. Add 1-2 squares of very dark chocolate, a pinch of cinnamon, a dribble of honey and heat in the microwave. Add a low-fat oaty biscuit if you like.
