Perched on the rooftop of St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, HANU has become one of Dubai’s most distinctive homegrown dining spots, where Korean cooking traditions meet a modern approach
The menu, led by Culinary Director Chef Kyung Soo Moon, spans everything from Korean beef tartare and Jangjorim (soft quail egg and caviar) to the show-stopping Crispy Bulgogi, marinated for 24 hours in soy, sesame oil, garlic, and pureed Asian pear. Each table is fitted with a bespoke charcoal grill crafted in Korea, where waitstaff prepare premium cuts tableside, accompanied by six condiments.
The centrepiece of the HANU experience is something you won’t find anywhere else in Dubai. The restaurant is the only address in the city to serve Hoengseong Hanwoo, Korea’s most prized beef, raised in the pristine highlands of Gangwon Province. Strictly managed by the Hoengseong Livestock Cooperative Federation for quality and traceability, this ultra-rare beef is celebrated globally for its stunning marbling, tender texture, and deep umami.
The best way to experience it is through the Hanwookase – HANU’s Hanwoo Beef Omakase, curated by Chef Moon. The journey begins with elegant small bites: warm Hanwoo beef broth, zucchini carpaccio, classic beef tartare, and marinated prawns, before arriving at the main event: prime 1++ cuts of striploin, tenderloin, and ribeye at the grill, alongside tender short ribs marinated in a savoury soy-based sauce.
For those looking to explore the menu more broadly, HANU offers two set experiences. Sodam Jeongsik is available daily from 6pm, a refined evening feast of curated starters leading to the signature grill experience, at AED275 per person. On Saturdays, Hansang Lunch reimagines the traditional Korean “full table” concept, running from 1pm to 4pm at AED195 per person.
