The Crossing Dubai

Located on the ground floor of the H Hotel, The Crossing is a cracking new restaurant that has set out to showcase India’s diversity as a country when it comes to culture and cuisine.

Expect gastronomy that is not only immersed in the nostalgia of secret Indian family recipes, but also influenced by rulers, voyagers and locals of the land. The menu, brimming with appetizers, grills, curries, gravies, grains, bread and treats, will take you on an exploration of the region through your plate.

Begin with a flavour-packed Chaat featuring shiso, mustard, kale, pepper leaf crisp and chutneys; followed by Ras omelette, a street food from Goa, with a xacuti chicken curry, omelette and pao (Indo-Portuguese soft rolls); and Gunpowder prawns in butter-pepper-garlic and gunpowder masala.

Mains call for a Bengali mustard fish and Lal maas from the grills section; and a hearty Mangalorean chicken curry or a tangy Mango curry with fresh seafood, raw mango, curry leaves, coconut and ginger. Accompany these with Thalassery biryani, Keema fried rice, Bakarkhani (Mughlai flaky, crisp bread) or a classic Roti.

The grand finale will have you tucking into Dahi boondi (curd parfait ice and sweet boondi with sev) or a Malai kesar sundae. Choose to pair your meal with a selection of grape and winning sips.
