Wellness Review: Senses of Dubai at Serenity – The Art of Well Being, Fairmont The Palm

Set within Fairmont The Palm, Serenity – The Art of Well Being is a proper switch-off from the bustle of the city. It’s calm from the moment you walk in, with soft lighting, neutral tones and curved spaces that naturally slow the pace.

Before the treatment, I spent some time in the Thermal Oasis, which includes a jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and ice fountain. It’s worth arriving early for this alone, especially if you want to properly unwind before your session.

I opted for the 90-minute Senses of Dubai ritual, which aims to reflect the region through ingredients and scent. It’s less about one technique and more about layering, moving from relaxation to exfoliation and hydration using elements like oud, salt and rose. The treatment begins with a full-body scrub, followed by a nourishing body mask that’s left to absorb into the skin.

While the wrap is left to work, you’re given a calming head massage, which makes the whole experience feel more considered. After a quick shower, it finishes with a final luminous rose oil massage that leaves your skin soft without feeling heavy.

After the treatment, you’re led to a quiet relaxation area where herbal tea, muffins, and dates are served. It’s a simple but nice touch, and gives you a bit more time to sit and reset before heading back out.

What stands out is how well-paced everything feels. Nothing is rushed, and each step flows naturally into the next. If you’re looking for a spa day that actually helps you switch off, this is an easy one to recommend.
