- 1l bottle vodka
- 175g caster sugar
Tip
Try another flavourThis recipe is easily adapted. Just use the same quantity (250g) of fresh berries - raspberries, strawberries, blackcurrants or blueberries work just as well as cranberries.
Which vodka? You can happily use unbranded vodka for this as the cranberries provide the main bittersweet flavour.
Method
Prick each cranberry a couple of times with a fork and layer up in a large sterilised Kilner jar with the sugar. Pour over the vodka and leave for 2 weeks, shaking the jar each day.
Strain and decant into decorative bottles. Seal and label.
