Ingredients

  • 2 x 150g cans tuna , drained
  • 50g mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp gochujang
  • 1 spring onion , finely sliced
  • 4 sourdough slices
  • 60g cheddar , grated
  • 1 tbsp butter

Method

  1. Tip the tuna into a bowl and mix in the mayonnaise, gochujang and spring onion. Season to taste. Either chill for later, or if ready to serve, continue with the recipe.

  2. Divide the tuna between 2 pieces of bread, top with the grated cheese, then close the sandwiches with the other 2 pieces of bread.

  3. Melt the butter in a frying pan over a medium-low heat. Fry the sandwich for 2-3 mins until golden, then flip and cook for another 2-3 mins until crisp and the cheese has melted. Cut in half to serve.
