Meliá Desert Palm Dubai

As the evenings begin to lengthen and the rhythm of the season shifts this Ramadan, Meliá Desert Palm Dubai, just 20 minutes from Downtown Dubai, offers a place to slow down and gather. Set across a vast 64-hectare polo estate, the resort is a haven where open skies, gardens, and pools create a backdrop for a quiet pause. This is a space designed for presence, where time feels more generous and shared moments take on their full significance.

Iftar at Epicure

At Epicure, the poolside ambience transforms as night falls, inviting guests to savour the evening over a sumptuous Iftar spread. Levantine and Mediterranean flavours take centre stage at this dining destination, accompanied by the melodies of a live oud player, creating an atmosphere that is both comforting and energetic.

The daily evolving buffet features several stations. Begin at the juice counter with traditional refreshments such as Tamer Hindi, Vimto, Karkade, Jallab, and Laban, followed by a comforting soup or cold mezze including creamy hummus, moutabel, vine leaves, crisp salads, Arabic cheeses, olives, and pickles. Hot mezze brings warmth with samosas, fatayer, empanadas, and pakora, paired with tahina, mint chutney and sauces.

Main courses reflect the richness of regional cuisine, from chicken Machboos and fish tagine to lamb Mandi, Musakhan, Thareed, couscous, and thoughtfully prepared vegetarian dishes. Live cooking stations, including the Ouzi station, offer a theatrical flair, serving Arabic and Irani grills, slow-roasted baby lamb, and chicken shawarma. The evening concludes with Knafeh, Umm Ali, baklava, qatayef, mousses, cakes, fresh fruit, and dates providing an indulgent finale, giving guests time to savour and unwind before the evening continues.

From 6 to 9pm. AED220 per person, AED95 for children (6–12 years).

Here, family life unfolds at its own pace with shared meals, conversation in shaded gardens, and slow-paced evenings together.
