Sponsored: This November, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort welcomes Chef Bongkoch “Bee” Satongun, one of Asia’s most respected culinary figures, for an exclusive collaboration with Dilmah Tea
The Bangkok-born chef, known for redefining Thai cuisine, will lead two special dining experiences across one weekend, with each dish paired to match the depth and aroma of fine Dilmah teas. Chef Bee earned international acclaim as the chef-owner of Paste Bangkok, which held its Michelin star from 2018 to 2023. Her approach to Thai cooking is rooted in historical research, drawing from centuries-old royal recipes and bringing them into a contemporary setting. Named Asia’s Best Female Chef by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2018, she continues to showcase Thai cuisine alongside her husband and collaborator, Jason Bailey.
On Friday, 21 November, Chef Bee will host a family-style dinner at Mekong, Anantara’s signature Asian restaurant, featuring dishes such as hor mok soufflé with crab and kang kua scallop curry. Each course will be paired with a curated selection of Dilmah Ceylon teas, offering guests a sensory journey that unites culinary heritage with the art of tea.
The following day, on Saturday, 22 November, Chef Bee will appear at the resort’s Fork & Cork Brunch, where guests can enjoy her live cooking station and sample her signature flavours alongside bespoke tea pairings.
Set in a serene corner of the resort, Mekong combines warm wood interiors and lantern-lit spaces with a menu that celebrates the cuisines along Asia’s legendary river.
Join Chef Bee at Mekong on Friday, 21 November and at Crescendo on Saturday, 22 November, for an unforgettable celebration of Thai flavours and fine tea pairings.
