Summer afternoons at Tasca by José Avillez

Take a gastronomic journey to the vibrant coast of Portugal, with delightful summery classics at Tasca from Michelin starred chef José Avillez

Nestled away on the sixth floor of the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, is the elegant Tasca, a restaurant from culinary genius, José Avillez. The restaurant’s name is inspired by the Portuguese word for tavern; and Tasca is now inviting diners to enjoy a three-course lunch, inspired by the distinct ingredients used in Portuguese-style cuisine.

Dine in a chic and cosy setting, with views of Dubai’s mesmerising skyline and the Arabian Gulf on either side. Bring your appetite with you as you begin with freshly baked bread and lupini bean hummus; followed by three small bites from the venue’s menu, including tempura cod cakes, Wagyu or tuna tartare cones and tempura avocado.

End your mouthwatering meal with the much-loved pastel de nata (custard tart) served with coffee ice cream, or opt for a scoop of ice-cream or a classic sorbet.  Diners can also choose to complement their meal with an array of sips featuring a Portuguese twist.

Sunday to Thursday from 12:30 to 3pm. AED135 per person (food only). Visit the website or Instagram.
