A new all-day dining brasserie has opened among the leafy suburbs of Dubai Hills Golf Club serving up international classic dishes with a twist.

The second JRG Dubai outlet to open in Dubai Hills, Hillhouse Brasserie follows hot-on-the-heels of eclectic country-style gastropub The Duck Hook, which is already proving popular among golfers and spectators alike.

An idyllic setting for breakfast with stunning views of the golf course greens and uninterrupted vistas of Dubai’s cityscape, Hillhouse Brasserie’s expansive terrace makes for the perfect setting to enjoy an al fresco meal during the cooler winter months. Boulangerie offerings include pastries, breads, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, fruit and a wide selection of breakfast items served on toast, such as veal bacon and eggs, veal sausage, or salmon and cream cheese, all served from 7am to 11:30am every day.

When it comes to the main menu, the restaurant promises a wide selection of starters, salads, pasta and risotto dishes, fresh fish and seafood, grills, delectable sides and dessert. Hero menu items include truffle burrata, pan-fried scallops, steak tartare, Boston lobster shrimp mac n’ cheese and Thai-baked monkfish.

Vegetarians and vegans won’t go hungry either, with everything from a tofu and Asian mushroom donburi to beetroot linguini on the menu.

Desserts are always worth investigating, right? Well, Hillhouse Brasserie doesn’t disappoint with tasty temptations including hot rhubarb and custard doughnuts and chocolate and peanut butter molten cake. Those looking for something a little lighter can start their final course with a refreshing round of the venue’s smooth and refreshing lemon sorbet.

And what could be better than free-flowing house filtered water? Like its neighbouring venue, Hillhouse Brasserie will serve refills of house filtered water in glass jars ensuring plastic has no presence at the venue.

The family-friendly venue is home to a kid’s playground with various activities on offer throughout the day, while a special children’s menu will keep little ones happy and stomachs content. As the day darkens, guests can take advantage of sundowners on the stunning terrace, with an extensive daily ‘happy hour’ from 3-8pm.

February will see the venue launch a number of exciting events and promotions including a regular Friday brunch – with the post-brunch party continuing at The Duck Hook – a steak night, and a family-oriented fun day every Saturday.

Details: Open daily, 7am-12 midnight. Diners can book by calling 800666353 or emailing jrgreservations@jumeirah.com. If you enjoyed this story, you may also be interested in reading about another al-fresco dining spot in Dubai.
