DUKES Dubai is marking two of the greatest Indian events this month with a duo of thoughtfully curated set menus at its Khyber restaurant.

Indian Independence Day, which is celebrated on Wednesday 15th August, and the Onam Festival – which is an annual Hindu festival with origins in the state of Kerala, have sparked the launch of Khyber’s celebratory menus – which cater for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Located on the 15th floor of the hotel, the restaurant boasts a 180-degree view of the Dubai Marina, where diners can indulge in a mouth-watering 3-course set menu, live flute loops, and vibey Indian lounge music; whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the city.

The menus will be available from the 15-18 August. During this time, the restaurant will be decorated with beautiful fresh flower arrangements to match the traditions of the Indian festivities.

Upon arrival, the traditional “Mango Lassi” will be served to the guests, who will then choose between the two menus. These will be served in a sharing style with unlimited Indian grape.

Main highlights from the vegetarian offering include the Kothamalli Chicken – a delicacy of south India, consisting of chicken poached in mild, spicy coriander and mint gravy. Vadiyan Da PulaoPulao is also a must try, and is made up of a spice coated Soya nugget cooked with fragrant basmati rice.

The vegetarian offering includes a mouth-watering Cutting Chai Counter with Onion Bhajiya, and the Pind de DalMix – a lentil season with homemade spices tempered with cumin, onion, garlic, and tomato.

Details: Priced at AED 180 per person, guests can enjoy a three course set menu with unlimited Indian grape between 15-18 August at Khyber. The restaurant is open from 5pm till 11pm.
